Starting The Application

• From the Accessions Main Menu, click the component you wish to apply to (Active Duty Air Force or Reserve/National Guard). This should be the first action you take
• If you are applying as for Active Duty, you must then select the Applicant Type that best describes you (Attorney, Law Student...) and then select the Accessions Board you will be applying to.
• For Reserve/Guard component applicants you do not have to select an Applicant Type or Board Date.
• Click the [Save Data] button to save your selection.

Navigating Throughout The Program

• Navigate from page-to-page using the Step Navigator at the top of each page. Optionally, you may click the Menu link on the upper right-side of the toolbar. This shows the full Accessions menu; you may click on any of the links to navigate directly to that page.
• You can always return to the "Main" page by clicking the Home link or the Judge Advocate General's Corps image located at the top-left on each page.
• You do not have to step through the application sequentially - you can navigate to any page you wish to and fill out information on that particular form (Application Review and Application Submission must be done at the end).

Entering And Saving Data

• Enter data into the various sections of the application; answer all questions asked of you and upload all required documents. Skip questions that do not apply to you.
• On every page, there is a [Save Data] button. After entering information, click this button to commit the information. You will receive a confirmation save message after ever save or update action.
• Some pages have an [Edit] button and a [Delete] button. If you need to update already-entered information, click the [Edit] button, update the information and then click the [Save Data] button. To cancel the edit, simply click the [Cancel Edit] button.
• The [Delete] button is used to remove information. If you click [Delete], the delete action occurs immediately - you will not receive a warning prompt.

Reviewing and Submitting Your Application

• When you are finished entering information and uploading all required documents, you must perform a final review of the application. The program will show you if you have any missing pieces of information or missing documents. You can submit your application only after you have corrected these issues.
• To complete the application process, you must submit your application. Review the Statements of Understanding (type "Yes" or "No" where required) and select a JAG office where you would like to be interviewed at.
• After clicking the [Confirm Application Submission] button, you will have one final prompt to acknowledge. At this point, your application is submitted.
• It normally takes 24-48 hours for your application to flow to a JAG Legal Office. You will be contacted to finalize an interview date and time.
• Note:
  Recommendation letters should be written by someone who can attest to his or her observations of your work ethic, duty performance, leadership potential, etc.
  Address all letters to "Selection Board Members" at the address below. DO NOT mail recommendation letters directly to the selection board.
